Our practice

Tree Volution is a Colchester-based tree surgery and garden maintenance practice, established in 2015. We work across Essex, south Suffolk and the London fringe for homeowners, landlords, schools, housing associations and commercial grounds — from a single tree in a back garden to multi-day site clearances before building work.

Our climbers hold City & Guilds NPTC certification for the tasks we carry out, including rigging, aerial rescue and chainsaw operation. We are CHAS-accredited and carry £10m public and employer liability insurance; certificates can be sent before work starts on your property.

Every job begins with a walk-through on site. You receive a written, fixed-price quote within 48 hours. Where a Tree Preservation Order or Conservation Area applies, we handle the council application as part of the work. If a tree does not need cutting, or a different technique is more appropriate, we tell you at the visit.

Green waste and arisings are removed and recycled as standard. Chip can be left for your beds if useful. We aim to leave gardens tidier than we found them — whether the brief is a crown reduction, a full removal with stump grinding, or clearance and ongoing maintenance.

Enquiry & site visit
Call, email or use our contact form with your postcode and what you want to achieve. We inspect the tree or site in person — quote visits are free across our Essex coverage area.

Written quote
A fixed-price quote lands within 48 hours. If council permission is required, we explain timescales and include application work in the quote before you book.

The job
Qualified climbers carry out the work with rigging where needed. Beds, lawns and driveways are protected; arisings are cleared unless you want chip left behind.

Straight advice
We would rather recommend crown thinning than an unnecessary reduction, or leave a sound tree alone. Honest advice at the visit builds trust for the next job.
