Garden & Site Clearances

Garden and site clearance across Essex and Suffolk — overgrown plots, vegetation management and full ground clearance.

01 · Overview

Garden & site clearance in Essex & Suffolk

Tree Volution is not only a tree surgery practice — we also provide comprehensive garden and site clearance across Essex and Suffolk. From a neglected corner that has turned into a tangle of bramble to a full plot strip-out before building work, we help you take back control and leave ground you can use again.

We work with you to agree what stays and what goes, then clear and tidy to a standard your family can enjoy or your next trade can build on. Based in Colchester, we cover gardens, building plots and commercial sites across the county and into Suffolk.

Why use a garden and site clearance service?

An overgrown or cluttered garden reduces the appeal of your home — for you and for visitors. Ivy, brambles and unchecked shrubs take up space, block light and make paths and lawns unusable.

Professional clearance and vegetation management restores access, improves safety and gives you a clean starting point — whether you want a garden the family can use again, or bare ground ready for landscaping or construction.

What we typically clear

Every job is different. Sometimes it is a single pile of vegetation that has built up in a corner; other times the whole garden or site has become overgrown and needs a full reset.

Common work includes garden refuse — shrubs, branches, twigs, soil, plants and grass cuttings — plus cutting and removing overgrown branches, bushes and bramble. We can dismantle sheds and outbuildings where agreed, and remove unwanted trees as part of a wider clearance.

We take green waste away as part of the job. If you need non-green materials removed as well, get in touch to discuss what you have — no matter the size of the plot, we can help you regain control.

Clearance and ongoing maintenance

Many clearances combine a one-off strip-out with upkeep — cutting back, removing arisings and keeping vegetation in check so the garden does not slip back into neglect.

For larger sites, new builds and renovations, we plan access, machinery and hand clearance together — the same disciplined approach we bring to tree removal and full plot work.

02 · How it works

How we approach a clearance

  1. 01

    Walk-over & access plan

We walk the plot with you, agree what stays and what goes, and plan machinery access — grab lorries, chippers, mini-diggers, all sized to the site.

  2. 02

    Protect what stays

Retained trees and boundary features are fenced and ground-protected before work starts. Any TPO trees are flagged and worked around.

  3. 03

    Sectional clearance

We work in zones, smallest stuff first, then hedging, then trees. Chip on the ground feeds a grab lorry. Stumps ground out below grade so the plot is ready for the next trade.

  4. 04

    Hand-off ready ground

Boundaries swept, ruts levelled, photographs taken for your records. We hand off a plot the next trade can start on the same morning.

05 · Frequently asked

The questions we hear most.

Every job is quoted on site — price depends on tree size, access, complexity and what's removed from the garden. We don't bill for the quote visit, and the written quote is what you pay.
